Assistant coach Ashley Guyle joined the Maverick softball staff in September 2010.
Guyle graduated from Nebraska-Kearney with her bachelor’s degree in sports administration in 2009. While a member of the UNK softball team, she was honored as the designated player on the All-Nebraska team and was selected to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s All-Academic team. Guyle hit 19 home runs and won 18 games as a pitcher in four seasons as a Loper.
A native of Mead, Neb., Guyle was a standout multi-sport athlete at Mead High School. She earned all-state accolades in volleyball (2002-03) and softball (2005), and led the state in batting average (.523) in 2005. Guyle also led Yutan/Mead to its first state tournament appearance in program history.
Guyle has three sisters – Jessica, Tiffany and Andrea Daniels. Jessica is a member of the softball team at Bellevue University.
