Graham Scores 29 to Lead Maverick Win

GOLDEN, COLO. -- Ty Graham scored 26 second-half points and finished with a career-high 29 Saturday night to lead the Mavericks to a 95-80 win over Colorado Mines. The Mavericks improved to 3-0 with the win in the Colorado Mines Classic.
Graham converted 17 of 18 free throw attempts in the game, helping the Mavs pull away from a 40-36 halftime lead over the Orediggers.
Tola Dada added 20 points for UNO and Andre Tarpley and C.J. Martin each chipped in with 10 points. Ryan Curtis had eight points, but led both teams with his career-high 14 rebounds, which helped UNO to a 46-26 advantage on the boards.
Graham, 5-8 senior guard from Lincoln, hit all four of his field goals from behind the three-point line the second half. He was 3-for-4 from the stripe before the break, then connected on 14 straight free shots, with six coming in the final 97 seconds as UNO put the game on ice.
Stephen Bahl led the Orediggers (1-1) with 28 points.
Graham's previous career-best was a 28-point night last January against South Dakota State.
