McKenna Signs Bland to Letter of Intent

Men's basketball coach Kevin McKenna today announced that Randy Bland, a 6-5 forward who played at Cuyamaca College in San Diego, Calif., has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha and play basketball next season.
Bland, a native of San Diego, was a two-time all-league forward at San Diego High School and the league's most valuable player as a senior while averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds per game. At Cuyamaca, he was a first team all-Pacific Coast Conference pick. He averaged 19.1 points and 10.0 rebounds as a freshman and 15.1 points and 8.0 rebounds in 2002-03. He set a school record, scoring 591 points in his first season and finished his two-year career second in all-time scoring at 1,046. Bland also set eight other school records, including career three-pointers, with 91, and season and career rebounds
