Sep 29, 2003 | Women's Soccer
The top-ranked UNO women's soccer program will open North Central Conference play this weekend when it travels to North Dakota and North Dakota State. The Mavs (9-0-1) experienced their first tie last Sunday with then-third-ranked Metro State when the two battled to a scoreless double-overtime draw. The Roadrunners' efforts moved them into the No. 2 spot. Friday night the Mavs were held to only one goal but shut out Division I Drake 1-0. UNO still has allowed only one goal and leads the nation with a 0.10 goals allowed average this year. Sophomore Amy Price's 0.11 average also leads the nation. The Mavs will play No. 19 UND Saturday and NDSU Sunday, both games will begin at 1 p.m.
