OMAHA - The Omaha women's soccer team (1-3-3) battled Drake (5-3-1) to a 1-1 draw Saturday night at Caniglia Field.

In the 21st minute, senior goalkeeper Cadence Fagan (Aubrey, Texas) made a diving stop to deny Drake's Isabella Bailey, whose shot was headed toward the bottom right corner, keeping the match scoreless.

Omaha broke through in the 46th minute. Off a free kick from junior forward Charley Kort (Lincoln, Neb.), captain and senior defender Jasmyn Brown (Wichita, Kan.) came flying into the box and connected on a diving header to give the Mavericks a 1-0 advantage. The goal marked Omaha's first at Caniglia Field this season.

Fagan came up big again in the 62nd minute, making another key stop to preserve the Mavericks' one-goal advantage.

Drake found the equalizer in the 79th minute as Addy Basler scored to even the match at 1-1.
