Price Named Conference Defender of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- Sophomore goalkeeper Amy Price was named North Central Conference defensive player of the week Tuesday for her efforts last week. Price stopped nine Drake shots Friday night in a 1-0 win and six shots Sunday in a double overtime win against then-third-ranked Metro State. The No. 1 Mavs tied Metro 0-0 to move 9-0-1. Price picked up her seventh and eighth shutouts and her second player of the week honor.
The Mavs open conference play when they travel to No. 19 North Dakota on Saturday and North Dakota State on Sunday. Both matches begin at 1 p.m.
