Hastmann Captures 4th Straight Title

Tanis Hastmann recorded her own "grand slam" Monday, firing a final round 78 to claim her fourth straight North Central Conference golf championship, edging teammate Amanda Stock, who shot a 79 to finish second, four shots back. Minnesota State, Mankato squeezed past UNO for the team title by a single shot.
Hastmann, a senior from Winnipeg, Manitoba, recovered from a 42 on the front nine to shoot even-par 36 on the closing nine at the 5,918-yard, par-72 Shadow Ridge Country Club. She had rounds of 76 and 73 over the weekend at Indian Creek Golf Course and held a three shot lead over Stock entering the final round.
The other UNO scores included freshman Carly Froehlich 84 for a 254 total, senior Allyson Yung, 83 for a 259 and senior Ashley Sipe, 89 for a 260.
