Mavs Blank Jackrabbits, 2-0

Brookings, S.D.-- As the other North Central Conference teams played for the final three spots for the NCC tournament, No. 22 UNO traveled to South Dakota State Sunday, defeating the Jackrabbits 2-0 on goals from Christen Boeckel and Beth McGill.
On a chilly Halloween afternoon, it took the Mavs almost an entire half to warm up and net a goal. At the 41:20 mark Christen Boeckel scored her second goal of the season on a pass from Amber Richardson. Sophomore Beth McGill added an unasssited goal in the 75th minute to seal the victory for the Mavs.
After sitting out in the 2-1 North Dakota loss last weekend with a broken nose, sophomore goalkeeper Amy Price played all 90 minutes between the pipes in the shutout victory making five saves.
With the win, UNO raises its record to 15-3-1, and will host the NCC tournament beginning this Friday, Nov. 5th with UNO playing at 11:30. The Championship game will be played Saturday at 1 p.m.
