The 1-1 tie stood through two overtimes, and eventually took the match into a shootout. Shootout goals by Beth McGill, Dani McCawley, Brandie Beale and Rachel Tushner respectively, paced the Mavs as they won with a 4-3 advantage during the extra session.
Junior goalkeeper Amy Price returned to the lineup after sitting out a week, and allowed the lone Southwest Baptist goal, making two key stops in the shootout period. Price also recorded six saves in the match.
