Mavs Open Home Season Thursday Night

Coach Kevin McKenna and the Mavericks will open their home season Thursday night when they host Midland Lutheran College at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. The Mavericks opened the season Monday night with a come-from-behind 76-73 win at Nebraska-Kearney.
Midland Lutheran will bring a 1-3 mark into the contest.
Following Thursday's game, the Mavs will return to the Fieldhouse court to host Missouri Valley College Sunday afternoon at 3.
Monday night, the Mavs used a late 8-0 run to cap a second-half rally from as much as 14 points down. Abdul Mills scored 20 points and Calvin Kapels pulled down 11 rebounds to lead UNO in the victory, the first by the Mavs in Kearney in 13 years.
