North Central Conference champion UNO will play Southwest Baptist at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in Kirksville, Mo., in the first round of the NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament. South Dakota will meet host Truman State in the noon game in the four-team regional, with the winners squaring off on Sunday at noon.
The No. 19-ranked Mavs (17-3-1) defeated Southwest Baptist (16-2-2)on Sept. 18 in Omaha, 3-2, in the only meeting between the teams this season.
UNO claimed its fourth NCC tournament title on Saturday with a 2-0 win over North Dakota.
This will be the third straight trip to the NCAA II tournament for Coach Don Klosterman and the Mavericks. UNO finished second in 2002 and third in 2003. The Mavs are 102-23-3 in Klosterman's six seasons as coach.
