Mavericks Risk 11-1 Mark in SDSU Classic

The Mavericks will face the Wayne States of Michigan and Nebraska this week as they risk their 11-1 record and No. 10 NABC ranking in the Burger King Holiday Classic at South Dakota State's Frost Arena in Brookings. Game time tonight and Wednesday is 6 p.m.
UNO will meet 5-4 Wayne State University of Detroit, Mich., tonight, while host South Dakota State entertains Wayne (Neb.) State College at 8.
The Mavs will meet Wayne (Neb.) State Wednesday for a second time in less than a month. UNO downed the Wildcats 81-73 Dec. 7 in Omaha behind Abdul Mills' 25 points and 23 by Ryan Curtis.
The Mavs have recorded eight straight wins in their climb into the top 10 of NCAA Division II schools.
The Mavericks will return to Sapp Fieldhouse on Friday to play their final non-conference game of the season at 1 p.m. against Doane College.
