Mavs Wrap Up Weekend with Two Big Wins

ST. PETER, Minn.- The Mavs finished their first road trip of the season with 6-3 wins over Winona State and Gustavus Adolphus Saturday at the Gustavus Adolphus Invite. The Mavs took eight of twelve singles matches and four of six doubles contests in the two duals to improve their record to 4-2.
In the early match the Maverick doubles team of Lindsay Henjum and Sarah Huls won at No. 2 and Maggie Russell and Shannon Dinovo took the No. 3 point against Winona. Singles winners for the Mavs were Huls at No. 2; Henjum at No. 3; Pam Le at No. 5; and Anna Ristic at No. 6.
Against GAC Henjum/Huls won again at No. 2 and Russell and Mikaila Spalding combined to win at No. 3. Batchelor picked up her third win at No. 1; Abby Wilson won at No. 4; Dinovo won No. 5; and Ristic picked up her third win, playing at No. 6.
The Mavs will return to Hanscom Park Tennis Center for four duals over the next two weeks. Next Friday UNO will host Augustana then the following weekend Graceland, Nebraska-Kearney and Sioux Falls will come to Omaha.
