Minnesota State, Mankato Skates By UNO, 5-3

Five different Minnesota State players tallied goals as Mankato downed Nebraska-Omaha, 5-3 in the final regular season home game at Qwest Center Omaha Tuesday night.
UNO got out to a fast start, scoring three first period goals for a 3-2 lead during the opening stanza. David Morelli and Andrew Wong each chipped in a power play goal while Anthony Adams scored on a breakaway.
Adam Gerlach and Travis Morin tallied the first period Mankato goals to keep pace with the crimson and black.
Minnesota State then took the lead in the second period on an even strength goal by Lucas Fransen at 10:10 and a power play marker from Steven Johns just 1:37 later for a 4-2 lead.
MSU's Ryan McKelvie added an empty net goal with three seconds left to end scoring.
UNO (7-23-5, 5-19-4 CCHA) will travel to Mankato to finish out the series with Minnesota State on Saturday, March 6.
