Played in 36 games and was second among freshmen in points with 5-5-10...One of his biggest goals of the season was a game-tying goal at Northern Michigan on Jan. 5 that earned the Mavericks a tie...His one power play goal of the year came in game two of the CCHA Playoffs against Notre Dame on Mar. 9....Six of his 10 points came during CCHA play.

Spent the 2000-2001 campaign with the South Surrey Eagles of the British Columbia Hockey League...Scored 34-40-74 in 51 games, including eight power play goals and five game-winning goals...He was awarded the most sportsmanlike team award and also was given the fan favorite team award...In 1999-2000, he recorded 15 goals and 24 assists in 59 games for the Eagles.

“After an up and down freshman year, Anthony will bring great speed and quickness to our lineup. He experienced steady improvement over his freshman year, start to finish. Our expectations are that he will continue that this year as he becomes an important player in our lineup."
