Mavs Hold 7-shot Lead After First Round

Tanis Hastmann fired an 82 Friday to lead the Mavericks to a seven-shot lead after the first round of the Ironwood Classic. The 36-hole tournament will conclude with 18 holes Saturday at the 5,999-yard, par 72 Ironwood Country Club, with tee times beginning at 10:30 a.m.
North Dakota's Alexia LaPlante shot a 79 to take the individual lead in the seven-team tournament.
UNO's 345 total leads second-place Minnesota State, Mankato by seven and North Dakota by eight shots. The UNO B team is fourth.
The other UNO scores Friday included an 86 by Sandy Strate, an 88 by Stephanie Oster and Katie Etter's 89. Amanda Stock shot a 90.
