Mavericks Shutout by Metro State

Denver, Colo.--Nebraska-Omaha was blanked 5-0 by No. 4-ranked Metropolitan State Friday. The 2003 RMAC champions scored in the fourth minute of the match and outshot the Mavericks 20-10 on their way to the victory. Roadrunner midfielder Ymara Guante connected with two goals and added two assists. Metro State forward Kylee Hanavan also recorded a hat trick against the No. 2-ranked Mavericks.
Sophomore forward Beth McGill led the Mavs with three shots, but the Mavericks were unable to break through the Roadrunner defense, only firing four shots on goal.
