UNO Wins Third Straight With Sweep Over Southern A

Florence, Ala. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team needed just over an hour to sweep Southern Arkansas 3-0 (30-16, 30-17, 30-14) while recording their third-straight victory in the season-opening North Alabama Lions Classic Saturday afternoon.
Senior outside hitter Amy McLeay hit .571 with nine kills in 14 attempts and only one error to lead the Maverick attack. Senior middle blocker Andrea Wegner added a season-high eight kills and two blocks. Junior Christie Johnson tallied 25 set assists and four service aces in the victory.
Nebraska-Omaha, which recorded 17 service aces in the match, outhit the Lady Muleriders .276 to -.068, as Southern Arkansas registered 21 hitting errors.
The Mavericks close out the tournament with a 4 p.m. match on Saturday against Hillsdale.
