Late Goal Sparks Maverick Victory

Denver, Colo.--Maverick sophomore forward Beth McGill's game-winning goal with 46 seconds remaining in regulation lifted UNO past Regis Saturday night.
After a scoreless first half, the Mavericks struck first with a goal from McGill at 66:11 (Danielle McCawley assist). Five minutes later Regis' Katie Janda evened the score 1-1. After the upset loss to No. 2-ranked Metro State, UNO rebounded for the 2-1 victory.
UNO goalkeeper Amy Price made eight saves and held the Rangers to one goal, after surrendering five to Metro State on Friday, running her record to 1-1-0.
The Mavs will travel to Division I Drury University next Saturday Sept. 4 in Springfield, Mo.
