
Rematch with UND up Next for Mavs

The Mavericks will finish the home portion of the regular season when they put a 13-game winning streak on the line against North Dakota Friday at 2 p.m. at the Soccer Field at Ak-Sar-Ben. The sixth-ranked Mavericks are 13-1-0 and alone at the top of the North Central Conference with a 9-0-0 record. The Fighting Sioux are 10-3-1 and at third in the NCC at 5-3-1. UNO, which beat UND 3-0 on the road earlier this month, is No. 1 in the NCAA's Central Region poll and UND came in at third.
The Mavericks swept the NCC weekly honors when junior forward Beth McGill earned offensive player of the week honors and senior goalkeeper Amy Price earned the defensive honor. McGill had seven points with an assist and a hat trick and Price helped the Mavs shut out SCSU5-0 and Minnesota State 4-0. The win over MSU put UNO alone at first in theleague and put the Mavs two wins away from clinching the NCC title.
The Mavs hold a 7-3 lead in the all-time series record against UND. The ighting Sioux have won three of the last five but UNO has won the last two with a pair of shutouts.
