Seniors Meghan Pile and Amy Price each earned their third academic all-North Central Conference honors as they joined three other Mavericks on the team announced Wednesday by the conference office.
Joining the two seniors were juniors Amber Richardson and Beth McGill and sophomore Danielle McCawley, the only 4.00 GPA student-athlete on the list this year. Pile has a 3.78 GPA in journalism; Price has a 3.64 GPA in biology; McGill is getting a 3.47 in sociology; Richardson has a 3.66 GPA in family science; and McCawley is earning her perfect score in pre-dentistry.
The NCC honored 24 student-athletes with the Mavericks and North Dakota leading the way with five honorees each.
With success already demonstrated in the classroom, the Mavs will try their luck on the field this weekend as they play for the NCC championship. UNO will play at Minnesota Duluth Saturday at 11 a.m. and at Minnesota State Sunday at 1 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
