OMAHA -  The Omaha women's soccer team (3-5-3, 2-1-0 Summit) return to action Thursday, Oct. 8, against North Dakota (5-5-1, 1-2-0 Summit) in Grand Forks, N.D. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT on MidcoSportsPlus. Omaha will continue their road trip Sunday, Oct. 11, against North Dakota State (3-4-5, 1-1-1 Summit) in Fargo, N.D. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CT on MidcoSportsPlus.
Omaha enters the week following a 1-0 victory over Kansas City on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Caniglia Field, securing its second Summit League win of the season.
The Mavericks broke through in the 35th minute when Payten Ivins (West Haven, Utah) found the bottom right corner of the net off an assist from Addie LaRock (Omaha, Neb.) and Amarie Simmons (Lehi, Utah), giving Omaha a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Omaha's defense held strong throughout the remainder of the match, keeping Kansas City off the scoreboard to secure the shutout victory.
The Mavericks will look to carry that momentum into their road trip as they continue conference competition.
Following the two-match road trip, Omaha returns to Caniglia Field for a pair of Summit League matches. The Mavericks will host South Dakota on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. CT before welcoming South Dakota State on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. CT. Both matches will be streamed on MidcoSportsPlus.
