Iwansky Named NCC Player of the Week

Freshman forward Amanda Iwansky scored a pair of goals over the weekend and earned her first North Central Conference offensive player of the week award. She scored once in the 3-0 win at Minnesota Duluth and then knocked in the game-winner at Minnesota State as the Mavs took home their second straight NCC title. Iwansky is third on the team and fifth in the league with nine goals and 22 points.
The Mavericks will be hosting the NCAA Central Region tournament this weekend and will play Friday against North Dakota at 2:30 p.m. The winner will play Sunday at noon against the MSU-South Dakota winner.
