Mavericks Face Armstrong Today in Nationals

Coach Bill Nichols and the Mavericks will try to extend their season when they face Armstrong Atlantic State University Wednesday at 3 p.m. CDT in the NCAA Division II national meet in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
The Mavericks, North Central Conference champions with a 16-5 overall record, have won 13 of their past 14 matches. UNO advanced to the Sweet Sixteen with regional wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Washburn May 6-7.
UNO, making its first-ever appearance in the Sweet Sixteen, would meet the winner of the Kutztown-California-San Diego match on Thursday with a win over Armstrong.
