Rain Suspends Play With Mavs Trailing, 3-0

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLA. -- No. 2 ranked Armstrong Atlantic swept three doubles matches before rain suspended play in the NCAA II women's tennis tournament Wednesday. UNO, 16-5, and Armstrong Atlantic, 26-0, will resume their round of 16 match Thursday at 7 a.m. CDT.
Four of the eight matches Wednesday were completed before the rains halted the action.
In the doubles, Armstrong's Luisa Cowper and Laura Peaty defeated UNO's Pam Le and Maggie Russell, 8-2; Manuela Emmrich and Caroline Grage downed UNO's Abby Wilson and Katie Schmidt, 8-1 and Johanna Dahlback and Dziyana Nazaruk blanked the Mavs' Sarah Huls and Lindsay Henjum, 8-0.
