
McGill's Pair of Goals Nets UNO Victory

WAYNE, Neb. - Junior forward Beth McGill scored twice for the Mavericks to lead them to a 2-1 win at Wayne State Wednesday evening. The seventh-ranked Mavs won their sixth straight game and improved to 6-1-0 (2-0-0 NCC) as they defeated the Wildcats for the sixth straight time. McGill scored her fifth and sixth goals and now has 13 points. The Mavericks will play at South Dakota Friday at 4 p.m. and then head to North Dakota for a 1 p.m. game Sunday.
McGill scored first in the 17th minute off a corner kick and then added her second unassisted 10 minutes into the second half. Nebraska-Omaha held off WSC after it scored in the 64th minute. The Mavs came away with a 20-8 advantage on shots and held the Wildcats to just three on goal. Senior goalkeeper Amy Price made two saves for UNO as she improved to 5-1-1.
