Black Team Defeats Red Squad, 9-4

Junior Katie Schmidt won her singles match and teamed with freshman Rachel Faulk for a doubles triumph to lead the Black team to a 9-4 exhibition win over the Red team Saturday night at Hanscom Park.
The teams were made up of mostly varsity players with some UNO tennis alums on both squads.
The Black team won four of the five doubles matches and five of eight singles matches.
The Mavericks open regular season play Friday night a 6:30 at Hanscom Park against Nebraska Wesleyan.
