Christensen, Reicks Garner NCC Recognition

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Junior middle blocker Carlie Christensen and senior outside hitter Christina Reicks both gained weekly honors from the North Central Conference for their performance last week in NCC competition.
Christensen earned NCC Offensive Player of the Week accolades after hitting .484 with 18 kills, 3 errors, in 18 attempts in UNO's four-game victory over North Dakota. Christensen also added a career-high 13 blocks in the victory, which ties for second all-time in school history.
Reicks gained her third NCC Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season. She averaged 6.50 digs and 2.0 blocks per game in the win over North Dakota. Reicks, who has recorded 10-straight double-doubles and 17 overall, also notched 13 kills against the Sioux.
The Mavericks will host Upper Iowa on Tuesday, Oct. 24 in non-conference action beginning at 7 p.m. at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
