Wegehaupt NCC's Defender of the Week

Tara Wegehaupt, a sophomore midfielder from Duluth, Minn., has been named the North Central Conference's defensive player of the week. Wegehaupt led a defensive effort for the Mavericks that yielded justone shot on goal and resulted in a pair of shutout wins last week.
The No. 1 ranked Mavericks defeated Wayne State and St. Cloud State by 2-0 scores to improve to 11-0 on the season.
UNO will conclude its five-game homestand Friday with a 4 p.m. North Central Conference match against Augustana at Ak-Sar-Ben Field. The Mavericks will then begin a stretch of five straight road matches with a Sunday game at South Dakota at 1 p.m.
