Champion Mavericks Dominate All-NCC Team

North Central Conference champion UNO placed five players on the 11-member all-NCC first team, including Beth McGill, who earned most valuable player honors for a second straight season. In addition, Don Klosterman was named the league's coach of the year for a second time.
Besides McGill, who led the conference in scoring, Amanda Iwansky, Amber Richardson, Tara Wegehaupt and Dani McCawley were selected by a vote of the coaches. McGill, a senior from Omaha, is a three-time selection, while this is the second time on the team for Iwansky, a sophomore from Columbus, Neb., and Richardson, a senior from LaVista, Neb.
Casey Bigsby was named to the second team for UNO.
The Mavericks were 11-0-1 in conference play to capture their third straight league title and sixth in seven seasons.
