Robinson's 28 Leads UNO Past Midland

Senior guard Zac Robinson scored 28 points to lead four players in double figures in a 91-69 non-conference win over Midland Lutheran Friday night at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse.
The win, the fifth in the last six games for UNO, improved the Mavericks to 7-4, while Midland fell to 3-7.
Robinson fell short of his career high of 29 points, hitting 10 of 21 shots, including 7 of 13 three-point attempts. Michael Jenkins added 15 points and Jerry Bennett and Denny Johnston each contributed 11.
The Mavericks trailed only in the early stages before using an 11-2 run midway through the first half to claim a 50-40 lead at the break while shooting 64.3 percent from the field.
The Mavs cooled down the second half, but still managed 55.2 percent shooting for the game. UNO opened the second half with a 9-0 run for a 59-40 lead and never let the advantage dip below double digits.
Chad Cruise led Midland with 16 points and Zac Gradoville added 14.
UNO outrebounded the Warriors, 43-28, led by Johnston and Jeremy Williams with eight apiece.
The Mavericks return to action Monday night, hosting Doane at Sapp Fieldhouse at 7.
