Mavs Drop Two in Des Moines

The Maverick tennis team hit a road block in Des Moines, dropping a pair of duals to Drake University and Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday.
In the first match of the day, the team of Maggie Russell and Rachel Faulk defeated Allison Wilkie and Kari Sloboth at No. 2 to earn the lone point for UNO as Drake pulled off an 8-1 victory.
In afternoon action, Faulk defeated Jamie Gaard at No. 3 singles to score the Mavs' only win in an 8-1 victory by Gustavus Adolphus.
The Mavericks (5-4) will return to action next Saturday with a noon match against Division I opponent Chicago State at Hanscom Park.
