Mavericks Top Minnesota State 8-1

ST. PETER, Minn. - The Maverick tennis team, ranked second in the region, finished undefeated in conference play, after posting an 8-1 victory over Minnesota State, Mankato on Sunday afternoon.
For the Mavericks, this marks the second-straight season they have finished undefeated in conference play, pushing their streak to 13.
UNO swept through doubles competition, with juniors Katie Schmidt and Katie Spahn posting an 8-0 win over Minnesota State's Lisa Retzlaff and Sarah Westman.
The Mavericks will continue its road trip on Tuesday against the No. 1 team in the region, Northwest Missouri State, beginning at 4 p.m.
