North Dakota Upsets No. 16 UNO in Five Games

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- North Dakota rallied from a two games to one deficit to post a 3-2 (24-30, 33-31, 26-30, 30-28, 15-11) victory over No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha in North Central Conference volleyball action Friday night at the Betty Englestad Sioux Center.
With the loss, the Mavericks fell to 11-5 overall and 0-3 in the NCC. The Sioux improved to 9-7 and 3-2.
Junior Carlie Christensen led the Mavericks with 22 kills on .500 hitting. Senior Christina Reicks recorded her team-high 10th double-double of the season with 19 kills and 14 digs. Junior Nicole McLeod hit .419 with 14 kills, while adding two blocks. Freshman Kelli Goeser was the fourth Maverick in double figures with 12 kills to go along with six digs.
Junior setter Katie Agnew notched a double-double with a career-high 63 assists and 11 digs while guiding the Mavericks to a .269 hitting percentage.
The Sioux hit at a .277 clip, while also holding a 6-2 advantage in team blocks.
The Mavericks will continue NCC action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to St. Cloud State for a 4 p.m. match with the Huskies.
