Mavericks Conclude Regular Season on The Road

The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team (14-8/6-4 NCC) will conclude the 2007 regular season this weekend when they travel to Grand Forks, N.D. for a 7 p.m. match at North Dakota (6-19/0-8 NCC) on Friday, Nov. 2. The Mavericks will then head to St. Cloud, Minn. for a 4 p.m. clash at St. Cloud State (10-17/2-6 NCC) on Saturday, Nov. 3.
The Record
The Mavericks are currently 14-8 overall and 6-4 in the North Central Conference after upsetting No. 13 Augustana 3-2 (30-19, 30-25, 23-30, 21-30, 15-13) and No. 12 Minnesota State 3-0 (30-26, 30-23, 30-22) last weekend at the Sapp Fieldhouse. UNO, which moved into second-place in the NCC standings, has now won five-consecutive matches.

In the latest CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 poll released on Oct. 29, North Central Conference schools ranked in the top 25 included: Minnesota Duluth (2), Minnesota State (15), and Augustana (16). Nebraska-Omaha received votes.
Christensen Reaches 1,000-Kill Mark
With her second kill against Northwest Missouri State on Sept. 19, All-American Carlie Christensen became the 16th player in school history to record 1,000 career kills. The senior from Omaha has now tallied 1,159 kills to date.
St. Cloud State Match to be Broadcast Live on the Internet
Saturday's match with St. Cloud State will be broadcast live on the internet by the b2 Networks. Fans can access the pay-per-view contest by going to the b2 Networks website. The cost to view the match is $6.00.
