Christensen Named to Daktronics All-Region Team

Senior middle blocker Carlie Christensen has been named to the Daktronics all-North Central Region volleyball first team and is now eligible for Daktronics All-America accolades. The Daktronics team is voted on by participating Sports Information Directors in the North Central Region.
Christensen, who is a three-time all-North Central Conference selection, leads the 2007 Mavericks with 3.80 kills, 1.49 blocks, and 4.64 points per game. She also leads UNO with a .363 hitting percentage. In the final conference-only statistics, Christensen ranked first in blocks (1.44 bpg), third in hitting percentage (.368), third in points (4.77 ppg), and seventh in kills (3.98 kpg).
A three-time NCC Offensive Player of the Week selection this season, Christensen will lead the 2007 Mavericks to their fourth-consecutive NCAA II Tournament appearance this week. Nebraska-Omaha will battle Augustana at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 in the first round of the NCAA II North Central Regional in Duluth, Minn.
