Jenkins Earns NCC Honor

Michael Jenkins, who helped lead UNO to a pair of road wins over future conference foes Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri State, has earned player of the week honors in the North Central Conference.
Jenkins averaged 18.5 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the Mavericks' 78-72 win at Missouri Western Nov. 27 and the 80-66 upset of No. 3 ranked Northwest Missouri State on Dec. 1. He shares the award with Minnesota State's Atila Santos.
The Mavericks this week will play another future MIAA opponent when they host Emporia State Saturday night at 7 in Sapp Fieldhouse.
