Mavericks Push for First-Round Playoff Game

The University of Nebraska-Omaha men's team closes out the regular season with games at Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State, Mankato.
With a win over Minnesota Duluth Thursday, UNO would match the Bulldogs' conference record at 4-5, but would move into fourth place by virtue of the tiebreaker and in position to host a first-round game in the NCC tournament. UNO could then lock up a home game with a win at No. 11 Minnesota State, a team they nearly upset in the last meeting. If UNO does not win that game, it would need the Bulldogs to lose to North Dakota on Saturday.
UNO defeated UMD in the NCC home opener on Jan. 13, 79-68. Senior Keith Price had a career night, scoring 18 points with 13 rebounds, for the only double-double by a Mavericks player this season.
The Mavericks hosted Minnesota State, ranked No. 9 at the time, on Feb. 10, nearly pulling off the upset, 62-59. Zac Robinson led UNO with 20 points, while the team won the rebounding battle, 43-34.
MSU is currently ranked No. 11 with a record of 23-3, 9-2 in the NCC.
