6 High School Recruits Sign Letters to Attend UNO

University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer coach Don Klosterman announced Friday that six high school student-athletes have signed national letters of intent to attend school next fall. The class includes four Nebraskans and one each from Kansas and Iowa.
"I'm really pleased with this class," Klosterman said. "We have a good blend of skills that should strengthen the entire team."
The Mavericks, 2005 NCAA Division II champions, were 19-1-2 last year, losing in the national quarterfinal match. UNO will be looking for its fourth straight North Central Conference championship next season. UNO graduated four seniors from last year's team, including all-time leading scorer and third-team All-American Beth McGill.

A three-sport standout at St. Teresa's Academy in Kansas City, Mo....second-team all-state selection as a junior after helping team win its second straight state title...has 30 shutouts in 56 career games with a 53-2-1 record...allowed just two goals in the 2005 season...was 2006 goalkeeper of the year in the Western Missouri Region...also played basketball and cross country...on school's honor roll and is a hospital volunteer.
