Rockhurst Snaps Mavs' 7-Match Winning Streak

OMAHA, Neb. -- Rockhurst edged UNO, 5-4, Saturday afternoon in women's tennis action, snapping the Mavericks' seven-match winning streak. With the loss UNO fell to 8-2 on the season while Rockhurst improved to 6-1 overall.
Each team won three singles' matches, however UNO managed just one victory in doubles as Rachel Faulk and Maggie Russell defeated Caitlin Buckley and Hannah Lazenby, 8-2, in No. 1 doubles.
The decisive match of the dual came at No. 5 singles where Rockhurst's Ida Kuruvilla defeated Kylie Roe 6-4, 6-3 in the final match of the competition.
The Mavericks will travel to Des Moines, Iowa tomorrow for a noon dual with Division I Drake University.
