Mavericks Host Minnesota State Friday

The Mavericks will host Minnesota State, Mankato in a North Central Conference match on Friday, March 16.
The match at the Hanscom Park Indoor Tennis Center will begin at 6 p.m.
Records & Notes
UNO improved to 6-1 on the season with a 9-0 win over Nebraska-Kearney and a 5-4 decision over Emporia State last week at home. UNO is 1-0 in the NCC.
Sophomore Rachel Faulk remained unbeaten in singles play with a pair of victories...Meanwhile, the doubles team of Amy Pierson and Katie Spahn won twice, including a match-clinching win against Emporia State to improve their record to 6-1.
Minnesota State is 2-3 on the season, including a 1-1 record in NCC matches.
The Coaches
Bill Nichols is in his seventh season as head coach. The 1980 Wichita State graduate has led UNO to two straight NCC titles and four trips to the NCAA II tournament and a 77-36 record. Nichols is the only head coach the Mavericks have had since starting the program in 2001. Prior to coming to UNO, Nichols guided the Wichita State men's team for 12 years, winning five Missouri Valley Conference titles.
Former Maverick player Sarah Huls is in her second season as a graduate assistant coach. Huls is the career leader in singles and doubles victories.
