HAYS, Kan. – The UNO women's basketball team fell behind early and never recovered in an 87-70 loss to Fort Hays State on Friday night. UNO trailed 45-33 at halftime and couldn't get closer than 9 points in the second half.

The loss dropped the Mavs to 1-4 and 0-2 in MIAA play.
Senior #Amanda Brodsack and junior Alyssa Green# each had 13 points for the Mavericks. Seniors #LaToya Wright and Ellen Majewski# each chipped in 11. Junior #Jill Wolf# added 10 points and a team-leading 8 rebounds.
Kayla Klug paced the Tigers with 19 points. Audra Binford added 18 while Erica Biel had 17 and a game-high 9 rebounds.
UNO returns home to face York College on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
