Mavericks Slip Past USD, 6-3

Kylie Roe and Sara Bredfeldt posted key singles wins to help the Mavericks record their fourth straight victory with a 6-3 decision over North Central Conference rival South Dakota at the Hanscom Park Tennis Center.
UNO, 4-0, will host Nebraska-Kearney in a non-conference match Saturday at 12:30 p.m. South Dakota fell to 6-4.
With the Mavericks leading the match, 3-2, Roe notched a 6-0, 6-4 No. 3 singles win over Maggie Peters and Bredfeldt claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win over Melanie Rockne at No. 4 to give UNO a 5-2 lead.
UNO won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles.
