Washburn Hands UNO 1st Loss

TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn captured five of the six singles matches in cruising to a 7-2 non-conference win over the University of Nebraska at Omaha Friday, ending the Mavericks' six-match winning streak.
UNO, now 6-1, will host Missouri Western Saturday night at 6 at the Hanscom Park Tennis Center. Washburn improved to 7-2.
UNO won the No. 2 doubles match and the No. 3 singles match Friday. Katie Spahn and Kelsey Haas teamed to win the doubles match, 8-4, over Lauren Harris and Rachel Stevens.
Kylie Roe came back after losing the first set to defeat Audrie Miller, 0-6, 6-2, 10-8 in singles and remain undefeated with a 7-0 singles record.
