Mavericks Aim for 4th NCC Title

The University of Nebraska at Omaha tennis team will be trying to capture its fourth straight North Central Conference championship this weekend when the league holds its final tournament in St. Cloud, Minn.
Competition will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Gold's Gym Tennis Center in Sartell, Minn.
The Mavericks edged St. Cloud State last year for the title, winning a pair of doubles matches to go with four runner-up finishes in singles and one second-place doubles finish.
Kylie Roe finished second at No. 5 singles last year and team with Sara Bredfeldt for a doubles win. Rachel Faulk was second at No. 1 singles and, along with Maggie Russell, was second in doubles. Katie Spahn, playing with Amy Pierson, won the No. 2 doubles.
Faulk, a junior from Omaha, won the 2006 title at No. 2 singles.
