Truman State Edges Mavericks by 1 Shot for Title

AMANA, Iowa -- Truman State edged the University of Nebraska at Omaha fell by a single shot to claim the team championship Sunday in the final round of the Upper Iowa Spring Classic at the Amana Colonies. Lynn Mulligan led the Mavericks with a second-place finish, shooting a closing-round 83.
Truman State, led by medalist Krystal Limsiaco, who shot the day's best round, a seven-over 79 Sunday, recorded a 340 for a 686 total. UNO shot a 340 for a 687.
UNO had three other golfers in the top 10. Sara Wolfe carded an 83 for a 171 total to tie for seventh and Abbey Weddle an 86 for a 173 to tie for 10th, along with Lindsay Newton, who shot an 89.
Limsiaco had a 162 for the event, while Mulligan, who shot a first-round 82, was three shots back at 165.
