COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Senior MaryClaire Murnan and freshman Becca Swanson each scored two goals as the University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer team won its exhibition match over Hastings by a score of 7-0 Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Neb.
Other Mavericks that each netted goals were senior Amanda Iwansky and juniors Mykala Hanson and Megan Jensen.
Sophomore Lauren Fox started the match in goal, while junior transfers Caitlin Golden and Elizabeth Odorisio and redshirt freshman Kate LaTerza each helped preserve the shutout in the second half.
UNO will kick-off its regular season with a home match against Rockhurst on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 1 p.m. at the UNO Soccer Field.
