Mavs Earn Eighth-Straight NCAA Tournament Bid

INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer team (13-5-2) earned its eighth-straight NCAA Tournament bid and will face Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association rival Truman Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 13 in Canyon, Texas at 12 p.m.
The Mavericks faced the Bulldogs two times this season and split with each team winning on their home field. On Sept. 12 UNO won 4-1 and on Sept. 26 TSU won, 1-0. Overall UNO is 12-5 all-time against Truman, including a 4-0 postseason record against the Bulldogs.
Truman (14-3-3) clinched an automatic bid to this year's tournament by winning the MIAA conference title.
The winner will take on the South Central region's top seed and host school West Texas A&M (14-2-3) on Sunday, Nov. 15.
The Bulldogs, Mavericks and Lady Buffs make up one of two South Central sub-regionals, while Incarnate Word (Texas) will host St. Edward's (Texas) and Central Oklahoma on the other side of the regional bracket. The two teams to advance from this weekend will face off at the site of the highest remaining West region team next Thursday or Friday.
