ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Mavericks shut out Missouri Western, 9-0 Friday evening in MIAA tennis action. Nebraska-Omaha improved to 7-6 and will return home to take on Creighton on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Koch Tennis Center.
Traci Moklestad teamed with Rachel Fauik to win at No. 1 doubles and then Moklestad went on to win her first match of the year at No. 1 singles.
Kelsey Haas, 8-4 now in doubles play with a win at No. 3, won her first singles match of the year, getting UNO a win at No. 4. She team with Mary Lausten in doubles and Lausten proceeded to win at No. 6 singles.
Heather Hottman and Samantha Thomas won at No. 2 doubles and they each won their singles match.
Kelsie Olson won at No. 3 singles.
