
Suponchick and Faulk Earn Athlete of the Week Awar

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Dani Suponchick was named the MIAA women's golf athlete of the week and Rachel Faulk was named the women's tennis athlete of the week for their performances last week. Faulk won her second honor of the year and Suponchick became the second UNO golfer to be honored this year.
Suponchick finished fifth at the Tarleton State Classic, which concluded April 14. She shot a nine-over par 153 during the two rounds and she helped the Mavericks place fourth in the 17-team event.
Faulk was involved in two points during UNO's 9-0 win against Emporia State Saturday. She got a 6-0, 6-0, win at No. 1 singles and then teamed with Traci Moklestad to win, 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Faulk won the first MIAA award this spring in tennis and Suponchick and Abbey Weddle have both won MIAA golf honors.
